Recently, I was chosen as a blog partner for Nina Designs. I have been a fan for a long time so I was excited. Juanita, from Nina Designs, sent me a goody box to play with so I could share some creations with you.
I received a selection of their new bronze charms, findings, ear wires, finished brass chain and jump rings. My photos don’t do justice to the rich gold tone of Nina’s bronze. I got ahead of myself and started making things before I photographed it all so I put a star by everything I used from Nina Designs.
I grabbed the bronze coral branch first and it was begging for some colorful coral beads to accompany it. I added a long rustic brown leather cord for a laid back vacation feel and used the lotus petal as a clasp charm. Can’t you just picture this necklace on a flowy white beach cover up?!
I love to mix contrasting metals together. The bronze key charm created a nice collection along with other key/door charms from my existing stash. Did you know jump rings make great spacers between charms so they don’t hang on top of each other? This simple, sweet necklace is great for everyday and goes with everything.
These circle links almost became part of a bracelet until my eyes went to some leather scraps on my beading table. The leather became an unexpected connector between the bronze earwires and the three circle links. Chic, light and fun to wear.
For my “lucky feather” bracelet, I knotted some brown 1.5 mm leather cord to create a closure. I cut, dapped and hammered a disc button and strung some turquoise and tangerine coral on waxed Irish linen. The feather and lotus leaf make great bracelet charms!
